Maybe it was Hamptons Magazine, or the HRS Princess Foundation, or OnDa Ground Music, or Closing Day, or all the above. The happening VIP Polo tent and Challenge was attended like no other day.
Bridgehampton Polo Club along with Hamptons Magazine and OnDa Ground music hosted closing day of the coveted Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge this Saturday, August 23. Polo Team Mansour triumphed 11 to 8 against Team RBC. Hamptons Magazine and the HRS Princess Foundation with OnDa Ground Music presented a special live post match performance at Closing Day of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Bridgehampton Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field.
Hamptons Magazine, a highly regarded publication in the Hamptons, is a free and popular read for the wealthy, socially conscious and sophisticated residents of this Long Island enclave. Hamptons includes features on fashion, business, dining, and special personality profiles of the area’s more unique individuals.
OnDa Ground Music with its first lady HRS Princess held a special live performance of the song. If Not For Grace for charity. Sixty percent of the proceeds from the sales of the song online benefit various children’s charities including, Children International, Darfur Now and others.
Season partners included: Ralph Lauren; Piaget; St. Regis; Catherine M. Zadeh Fine Jewelry; Champagne Perrier-Jout; Stolichnaya Vodka; Capricho Residences at Playa Mujeres; FIJI Water; Tag Heuer Eyewear and Gruen Eyes; T-Mobile Sidekick; Coca-Cola; Hpnotiq; Peroni Beer; and Zino Platinum Cigars.
The season commenced on Saturday, July 19th, and continued for six consecutive Saturdays, ending this Saturday, August 23rd.
Teams that competed this season included: White Birch; Black Watch; Pony Express; Equuleus; RBC; Jumeirah Culu Culu and Mansour. All proceeds from the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge went to the South Fork Breast Health Coalition.
The VIP tent hosted an invitation-only cocktail reception for exclusive guests each Saturday afternoon during the tournament. Catering was provided by RCano Catering. Another successful Mercedes-Benz Bridgehampton Polo Challenge season came to an end.
