We are very disappointed by the unforseen problems with the power that occurred at the first show on Labelle’s ‘back to now tour’ last night at the Apollo. As a result of the winter storm, an electrical issue caused a power surge in the Harlem electric grid and disabled the sound system. All parties involved put forth every effort to rectify the problem. The Apollo Theater appreciates the professionalism and grace that Labelle demonstrated by returning to the stage for an impromptu high- energy a capella performance. We also recognize the exceptional patience and courtesy exhibited by Labelle’s fans. It was an unfortunate situation and we sincerely apologize to all patrons who were in attendance. We are pleased to announce that the Apollo Theater, Labelle and Massimo Gallota Productions will honor all tickets from last night’s (December 19, 2008) performance for a rescheduled concert tonight – Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 8pm. We sincerely hope that all ticket holders will be able to join us for tonights show.
