Our campaign for Manhattan Borough President is people-powered. We already have over 1,000 individual donors and our goal is to double that by the end of the campaign—and that starts with you.
First, please join us for the grand opening of our campaign office. We are so excited to be in our new space at 2510 Broadway, NY NY 10025 between 93rd and 94th Streets in Manhattan. Join hundreds of volunteers, supporters and the whole campaign team from 6:30 – 8:30pm on Thursday, July 11. Over the past twelve years as a Councilmember, and prior to that as Director of Federal Relations for the office of the Mayor, as Deputy Public Advocate, as a City Council staff member, lecturer for 20 years at CUNY campuses and Barnard College, Community Board member, and head of the National Women’s Political Caucus/NYS, and part of a team building affordable housing, I have worked hard for the best interests of New York City as a whole.
Now, I would like to put that experience and record of accomplishment to work as Borough President. But none of this will be possible if we do not have the funds to compete in a four-way Democratic Primary.
This is where you can help. Individual contributions are matched by the City’s public finance matching system at a ratio of six-to-one, up to a maximum individual’s contribution of $175. That means your contribution at the maximum level of $175 is worth $1050 to the campaign; a contribution of $100 is worth $700 to the campaign, and so on.
