Global Investment was held at Waldorf Astoria Hotel on October 5, 2016.
The conference was organized by Omaha Value Investment Group along with multiple organizations, including US-China Council that I am President of. The Conference will focused on Global and US-China cross border investment trends, opportunities and risks in light of the current U.S. economic and political climate. It featured distinguished speakers including
• Anoop Singh, former Asia-Pacific Director of International Monetary Fund, and Head of Asia Regulatory Affairs of JP Morgan Corp., currently Director of Centennial Group International, and adjunct professor at Georgetown University, and Singapore National University;
• Harry Edelson of Edelson Technology Partners, one of the most prominent and successful venture capitalists on the East Coast;
• Susan M. Jacques, CEO of Borsheim Jewelry Co, one of the portfolio companies of Berkshire Hathaway;
• Henry Teng, Co-Founder of Committee of 100, whose members include the most prominent Chinese Americans such as I.M. Pei, Yo-Yo Ma.
In addition, the event was attended by many investors and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and China, professionals from the Wall Street and other fields, including EMBA CEO students from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, and Shanghai Jiaotong University EBMB College. It was packed full of agenda and it was a very good event for learning and networking.
