New York: (212) 678-2269 Dear Peacemaker; On behalf of the Global Peace Festival USA Executive Committee, we cordially invite you to join a Global Peace Festival (GPF) special celebration that will be held at the Manhattan Center (311 West 34th Street) in New York City on October 23, from 6:30-to-9:00 PM. The GPF is bringing together a broad spectrum of faith traditions, representatives from nations around the world, diverse ethnic and international associations, as well as community organizations to further a culture of peace. One of the core values present in all of the world’s great cultures is living for the sake of others’. Honoring this great tradition, the GPF includes a strong component of service projects and volunteerism. In addition to music, folkloric dancing and remarks made by Jewish, Christian and Muslim leaders to promote a spirit of interfaith reconciliation and cooperation, Dr. Hyun-Jin Moon, Chairman of the Universal Peace Federation, will deliver the keynote address entitled One Family Under God. Please join with us by attending the GPF as we celebrate this vision through entertainment, cultural activities and inspiration on October 23. The only entrance fee will be 2 items of non-perishable food to be donated to the local food bank.
