No wonder the United Nations has chosen “Climate Action for Peace” as the theme for the UN’s International Day of Peace, celebrated each year on September 21. Millions of viewers worldwide will be watching the 11th Annual Peace Day Global Broadcast as it spotlights local climate initiatives around the globe. The broadcast features relevant performances by popular musicians and talks with leaders in environmental issues. The broadcast streams from the United Nations website for the International Day of Peace, or directly from PeaceChannel.com, the only online non-profit network that focuses 24/7 on peace, prosperity and protecting the planet.

The Peace Day Global Broadcast is the brainchild of human rights activist Bill McCarthy, founder and president of the Unity Foundation, who has advocated for the United Nations since 1984. He authored the Amazon best-seller Lessons from a Woodstock Journey.President Barack Obama has recognized him for lifetime achievement in global unity.
