Fertile Heart, an international community of parents and aspiring parents, founded in 1997 by reproductive healthcare educator and author, Julia Indichova, has initiated a grassroots peace-project titled: Turn It Around: From 9/11 to 11/9 International Day of Compassion. After sixteen years of supporting people in bringing babies into the world, I cant very well continue that work without mobilizing our community to do what it takes to make that world a safer place for the children already here and for the ones on the way, says Indichova. With the Turn It Around Project,Julia intends to forge a more meaningful public dialogue about the roots of violence, while supporting creative individual contributions to peace efforts.
On September 11, 2010, mothers, mothers-to-be and friends of the Fertile Heart community will gather at Ground Zero, to declare 11/9 the International Day of Compassion, At 2:00PM Julia Indichova will offer a free workshop titled: Birth Your Next Creation; Repair the Earth. (Address/Details available upon request.)
Similar workshops and support circles are planned between September 11 and November 9 in London, Taipei, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Boston, Houston, and other cities.
Inconceivable(Doubleday 2001), Julia Indichovas first book, was hailed by Library Journal as an important consumer health resourcethe first book from the patients point of view. During the last sixteen years, she developed The Fertile Heart Ovum Birthing Practice, endorsed by leading fertility specialists, and documented in her second book, The Fertile Female (Adell Press 2007). The Program has helped bring thousands of babies into the world, often after years of failed medical treatment.
Now, Indichova is applying the Fertile Heart Ovum Birthing Practice to peace- enhancing endeavors through a series of projects and workshops.
The Turn It Around Project builds on Indichovas first peace initiative in 2007 (The 9/11 Bowing Project; link to video – http://alturl.com/wir3).
A sister site www.FertileHeartedHuman.org will focus on applying the OVUM Birthing Practice to a number of upcoming peace, sustainability and healthcare reform related teleconferences, and workshop, expand the Fertile Heart outreach efforts beyond the scope of the baby making community.
