In NYC and nationally, people of color are disproportionally affected by COVID-19. Moving From Why Me to What’s Next

The Rev. Dr. Cynthia Huling Hummel of Elmira served in parish ministry for 15 years prior to her diagnosis of early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. She received her BS from Rutgers College, her MDiv from New Brunswick Theological Seminary and her DMin from McCormick Theological Seminary. Cynthia is a fierce Alzheimer’s advocate and has become a voice for those living with the disease both locally, nationally and internationally Her mantra? “Don’t focus on what you can’t do. Focus on how you can still make a difference.”

Have your morning coffee or tea and join us for a three-session PSSLife! U Virtual Plus Event. Preserve you and your loved one’s precious memories with scrapbooking. There is no cost to participate and we supply everything you need by shipping it straight to you. You just need to have your own photos or whatever else you would like to preserve in your scrapbook. We encourage having your Care Recipient participate as well. Space is limited – reserve your spot today! Advanced registration is required; all three sessions are not required. Feel free to join any and/or all – Please provide your address when you register so we can mail your materials to you.

Chair Yoga for Older Adults

Jana Castellano, an Anusara-certified Yoga Teacher, has been teaching for 18 years. She holds classes at World Yoga (UWS), at New York Presbyterian’s Health Outreach Program, and Tanya Towers. Her training and experience take Chair Yoga to a deeper level, incorporating yoga’s universal principles of alignment to open, strengthen, and align the body while seated.
