It takes the average smoker NINE attempts before quitting successfully
Intervention Specialist Brad Lamm Talks About the Importance of Support and New Resources Now Available to Smokers www.walmart.com/BlueprinttoQuit
Ask any former smoker and they’ll tell you quitting was the hardest thing they had ever done. Almost 90 percent of smokers who quit without support do not reach their one year anniversary.2 Even with assistance, it often takes a smoker nine attempts to quit before they are able to do so successfully.
Brad Lamm* is an intervention specialist known for his appearances on the Dr. Oz Show and Oprah; he is also the founder of the Change Institute. He says that nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) and behavioral and social support, such as quitting in social circles, can significantly increase a smoker’s chances of quitting successfully.
He will talk about the importance of using NRT and behavioral support to overcome a nicotine addiction. Brad is also a former smoker.
Brad will talk mainly about:
• The importance of addressing the physical addiction to nicotine, and overcoming the psychological cravings for nicotine
• The difficulties facing those trying to quit smoking
• A new program that offers smokers access to smoking cessation tools and behavioral support resources
• His personal quit smoking success story
• How smokers can use the “Blueprint to Quit” program to help them finally quit smoking
