WHAT: EarthCam invites people around the globe to celebrate the 40th annual World Hello Day with live views from their collection of street cameras! In exciting locations such as Times Square, New Orleans, Miami and London, watch as people stop by the webcams to wave hello to family and friends.
WHY: World Hello Day encourages everyone to greet ten people, demonstrating the importance of positive personal communication for preserving peace. This celebratory day was begun in response to the conflict between Egypt and Israel in the Fall of 1973 and has since then been observed by people in 180 countries.
WHEN: World Hello Day is Wednesday, November 21, 2012.
