Monica Potter Goes Red For Women, Joining With the The American Heart Association and Campbell Soup Company To Raise Awareness of the Number 1 Killer of Women
Star of televisions Parenthood and mother of three, Monica Potter is rallying moms across the country to join the fight against heart disease. Moms are the heart of the family, but often they neglect to take care of their own hearts. Potter hopes to inspire mothers, and people, to protect their hearts by eating well and exercising.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women in America, but only 55 percent of women realize this fact and less than half know what are considered healthy levels for cardiovascular risk factors like blood pressure and cholesterol.
Potter, who lost her father to heart disease in 2004, is sharing her personal story on video and asking America to raise awareness and funds to support heart health.
