Travelers from around the world have visited Bethlehem for over two thousand years. Bethlehem, like other global tourist destinations, is now experiencing the ripple effects from Covid-19, bringing tourism to a halt, and resulting with a 70% unemployment rate.
Community leaders, from Jewish and Palestinian communities, like David Nekrutman and Pastor Steven Khoury, have connected to pave a path forward defined by cooperation and hope. Over the years, the two have met with AIFL delegations to share their vision of multi-faith cooperation.
Join us to hear the latest on how these community and faith based leaders are bridging the gaps to overcome fear and bring us hope.
The panel will address:
• Cooperation on health and medical issues during Covid-19
• Implications of loss of tourism infrastructure in the local economy
• Mobilization of community leaders in providing food and care packages
• Generating hope within the most vulnerable segments of the community
