Hey pet owners the heat is on! As pet owners know, our four legged friends are more than just pets they are members of our family! Simple tips can help alleviate odors in our homes, keep pets comfortable and help everyone have fun during these sizzling months. Have Fun! Its not only about fun, but also about strengthening your animal-human bond and getting some exercise.
If you have a local park or pond, play with your dog there and with a cat, the fish pole, or laser toys are a great way to have fun! If you have a pool, swim with your dog. If your pet gets dirty, especially around water, there are simple products you can use to ensure the dirt and odors dont linger when they come inside.
Stay Cool in Hot Weather. Pets are susceptible to heatstroke, so be sure your pet always has a shelter from the sun and plenty of fresh water.
Keep it clean! Its never fun for pet messes to invade the home. It is important to tackle dirt and odors (or accidents oops!) to make sure your home and your pets homes are kept clean (especially with summer guests arriving). Take special note of the litter box, pet bedding and toys and cleaning tips and deodorizing techniques from Charlotte.
Be Prepared. At home or away, carry a first aid kit in case of emergencies. There are special kits for both dogs and cats, so you never have to panic!
