What: The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation will host its 20th annual A Magical Evening benefit gala honoring IBM with the Visionary Leadership Award, being accepted by Dr. John E. Kelly, III, Senior VP and Director of Research, Marsha Garces Williams with the Dana Reeve HOPE Award, and the Gonzalez-Bunster family with the Christopher Reeve Spirit of Courage Award. The evening will feature dinner, dancing, and a silent auction, followed by a special live performance by singer-songwriter Shontelle. Black tie optional.
Who: The evenings celebration committee Francine LeFrak & Rick Friedberg, Jack & Gail Hughes, Peter & Eaddo Kiernan, Marie & John McConnell, Henry G. Stifel III, and Richard Kind will be joined by special guests Matthew Reeve, Alexandra Reeve Givens, Will Reeve, designer Peter Som, singer-songwriter Shontelle, Jesse Billauer, celebrity stylist Mary Alice Stephenson, Rita Cosby, model Maggie Rizer, Miss USA Rima Fakih, director Morgan Spurlock, and Jesse Ruben, among others.
Why: Proceeds will benefit the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.
