Monmouth Academy of Musical Arts Proudly Presents: Sid Bernstein Listen, do you want to know a secret? Sid Bernstein, the legendary Beatle’s promoter who engineered The British Invasion, will reveal some of his incredible stories about his illustrious career. Come Together for this entertaining program designed to appeal to generations of music lovers, held at The Monmouth Academy of Musical Arts in Morganville, NJ, on November 16th at 2 p.m. As America’s premier impresario, Bernstein’s music savvy took him on a magical mystery tour with many of the twentieth century’s greatest personalities. His extraordinary vision during The British Invasion enabled many influential rock and roll bands to enter The United States including such giants as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Moody Blues and Herman’s Hermits. Bernstein’s lecture will be followed by an audience participation question and answer forum. Lecture hosts and co-owners of MAMA, Joe Orlando and Belle Liao, will also perform with their Monmouth County-based classic rock quartet, The Cryers. They will play original songs as well as vintage Beatles and 60’s rock and roll hits. The Cryers tour the U.S. & Canada, opening for headline acts such as Original Beatle, Pete Best and the British Invasion Duo, Peter and Gordon. They also back up rock “legends” such as Denny Laine of Moody Blues & Wings, and Terry Sylvester, formerly of The Hollies.
