Find Out How You Can Help This Mothers Day
Mothers Day is a special day of receiving cards, a box of chocolates, and maybe even breakfast in bed for most moms. But research conducted by Meals On Wheels Association of America shows that amongst seniors, women are most likely to be at risk of hunger. Meals for Moms is a campaign created by Meals On Wheels and sponsored by Gallo Family Vineyards to raise awareness and funds to help end hunger among senior women.
Right now, 1 in 9 seniors in our country face the real threat of hunger. These people are our mothers, grandmothers, and aunts.
Visit www.MealsForMoms.org and
o Sponsor a meal; it costs just $7.00 to deliver a hot meal to a homebound senior mom.
o Send a message of hope and support. The messages will be printed into cards and delivered alongside a nutritious breakfast, lunch or dinner on Mothers Day.
o Send an e-card to the important women in your lives to help raise awareness.
The goal has been set to send 50,000 Mothers Day cards from the website to help raise awareness on the reality of senior hunger in the US and raise the spirits of homebound senior moms on this special day.
