About Seeger Fest:
Seeger Fest is a five-day festival of free events taking place July 17-21 in New York City and the Hudson Valley to honor and commemorate the lives of revered folk musician Pete Seeger and his wife, Toshi Seeger. The events will consist of large concerts, film screenings, a memorial service, sing-a-longs, and a photo exhibit.
Musicians include Judy Collins, Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary, Holly Near, Dar Williams, Amanda Palmer, Anti-Flag and Steve Earle among others. The festival will include folk, hip-hop, punk, reggae and indie-rock artists who worked with Pete Seeger and stand behind social causes.
Seeger Fest is being produced by Pete and Toshi Seeger’s grandson, Kitama Cahill-Jackson, making it the only Pete Seeger tribute event being produced by a family member.
