In the Southern States dogs are considered a bi product of society. Due to extreme overpopulation , lack of leash laws and spay / neuter laws , tremendous amounts of back yard breeding , ignorance and a huge cultural disregard for the animals in general it is still WIDELY socially acceptable to use A GAS CHAMBER as a regular form of euthanasia in shelters . This is not a handful of backwoods shelters …. Dogs are being gassed to death in great numbers …. in 37 major counties and over 200 cities in the US every single day!!!!!!!!!
Over 27,000 dogs are killed in us shelters every day , humane euthanasia is bad enough , but gassing is one of them most horrible , barbaric tortures and is not only legal but somehow is still considered commonplace in many parts of the country …

We are only 1 rescue orginization and with limited help and very limited funds, the last resort (on a good month) can only save 40-50 a month from this horror, we have to stand by litterally thousands of other healthy dogs, puppies, cats and kittens every day, 7 days a week, are beinggassed to death!!!
This is not a joke or a exaggeration …. It is a fact:
It takes 45 minutes to die in the chamber, animals struggling , screaming and wailing for their lives in gas chambers, biting , clawing at themselves and each other in panic, beating their heads against the chamber walls, choking and vomiting until the gas finally takes hold . Groups of up to 25 or more animals are often gassed together , continually opening it and throwing more in on top of those already dying .

I Know this is a hard thing to accept, but it is part of our daily reality and it is very real!!!!
Most people just don’t know and the rest refuse to believe it!!!!
I believe if we could expose this horrible truth on a widespread level..together, we can do somethingto change it!!!
