It’s a new dawn. No value judgment. Just a fresh start. We need positives. Colin Powell writes in the WSJ about volunteering. Help a child learn to read. Man and woman the soup kitchens. We need to generate positive feelings. For ourselves, for others, for the greater good. How about some “Economic Patriotism.” “Hey Washington — please tell us what we should do as individuals and corporations to help our economy survive and revive. Be honest. We will try our best.” Think positively. Don’t hide. There is risk but there is also opportunity. Would we be talking about efficient grids, digital band width expansion, transportation infrastructure if everything was status quo? Have we not increased the possibility of American Ingenuity leading to some “new, new innovations” that aren’t even on the radar? PC’s, networking, Ipods, electricity, telephones, cars. Risk and Opportunity. Be prudent but be on the lookout. It’s a new dawn. Best regards, Bruce
