THE DUKE ELLINGTON CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Dear friend,
I am writing to you regarding the music and legacy of my grandfather Duke Ellington. Sad to say, but the music of one of the greatest composers of the 20th century is gradually fading from the memory of the American public. Many are losing the ability or inclination to listen and appreciate Duke’s compositions along with other composers America’s folk music.
Our mission at The Duke Ellington Center for the Arts (DECFA) is to preserve the Maestro’s legacy and expand the exposure to his music. You can help us! If you are able, we’d love if you could make a donation.
Thank you in advance for your support. Your donation will go toward DECFA’s extended celebration on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 (1-3pm) of the 120th anniversary of Duke Ellington’s birthday at the Duke Ellington statue located at 5th Avenue and 110th Street. It will also support other events and programs including music scholarships for young people, concert performances and ongoing archival preservation projects we have planned for 2019.
Make a tax deductible donation online at DECFA.org
With your help, we can all make Duke Ellington’s 120th birthday celebration the best ever!
Thanks again!
We Love you Madly!
