JUDITH FUREDI LAUNCHES NEW BOOK AT BLOOMINGDALES
A loving tribute to John Lennon from his friends and fans
Author Judith Furedi will be launching her latest project, her book John Lennon: In Their Own Write, A Loving Tribute from His Friends and Fans.
Come join the fun on Saturday, December 5th, at Bloomingdales Flagship store located on East 59th and Lexington Avenue, starting at 12:00 noon. Ms. Furedi will sign copies of her book along with legendary Beatles promoter, Sid Bernstein.
With a foreword written by Mr. Bernstein, John Lennon: In Their Own Write presents a collection of stories, poetry, photographs, illustrations and quotes from many of Johns fans and those who were close to him. May Pang, Julian Lennon and Paul McCartney are some of the contributors to this book. It gives the reader a whole different perspective of what was previously published in other printed media. It is the only interactive, multi-media book about John Lennon. It comes with a free CD.
At the time of John Lennons passing I couldnt bring myself to attend the vigil in Central Park. My sadness over the tragic event triggered an inspiration to write a poem in his memory, said Furedi, looking back. Over the years, this evolved into an entire book. It was simply a labor of love.
The prototype for the current book was Dear John: Letters from a Fan in New York City. It was met with critical acclaim.
John Lennon: In Their Own Write, has received great reviews from Beatles Unlimited Magazine, Dennis Mitchell of Breakfast with the Beatles, Steve Marinucci of the Beatles Examiner, Octopus Garden Beatles Fanzine, and writers such as Linda Keen, author of Across The Universe With John Lennon.
Sid Bernstein was so moved by the book that he wrote the foreword.
