KeepTree.com (http://www.KeepTree.com), the creator of the hot new video messaging technology that allows its users to record videos and deliver them at a “future” date and time, announced today that it will partner with Duchess Entertainment to present the 2nd Annual “Salute with Hoops” celebrity charity basketball game. The game will benefit the Children of the Fallen Patriots Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships and educational counseling to children who have lost a parent in military combat or accidents. For more information, please visit http://www.keeptree.com/salutewithhoops.php.
All video invites to the game will be distributed exclusively through KeepTree’s video messaging platform, and at the game, fans will use KeepTree.com’s video messaging service to send videos out to their friends that aren’t in attendance.
“This event will be great! NFL players, NBA players and Hollywood Actors are all coming together as we honor our American Heroes. Now with KeepTree, we can bring the game to the troops serving abroad who won’t be able to attend the game,” said co-host Samie Parker, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs.
“With this game we want to show the troops that they are heroes to us professional athletes and we greatly appreciate each and every one of them for protecting and serving our country everyday. We want everyone at the game to record a “Thank You” video to the troops at http://www.TroopTree.com,” said co-host Josh Morgan of the San Francisco 49ers.
KeepTree.com allows users to record and share videos with their friends and family, and save them forever. KeepTree.com also allows users to record videos and have them delivered to friends and family in the future.
This is not the first time KeepTree has shown its support for the military. In December 2011, it launched TroopTree.com, a special segment of KeepTree’s communication service set up specifically for our military. At TroopTree.com, active duty military personnel can exchange video messages with their families for free, without the need for a simultaneous internet connection, which is often difficult to achieve in a war zone or between time zones. At TroopTree.com, through a computer’s webcam videos are recorded directly to the TroopTree servers so there is no need for uploading or separate recording software. Users may also archive their videos indefinitely, and can also record videos for delivery in the future. TroopTree.com also has an area on the site where members of the public can record “Thank You” videos to our troops.
“Samie, DeSean, and Duchess are doing a great thing and we are proud to support the event by allowing those people who can’t attend the event to feel like they are there. The members of our armed forces continue to give so much for our country, and many have made the ultimate sacrifice. It’s important that every company and every American recognize this and give back whenever possible.” said Jon Loew, KeepTree.com’s founder and CEO.
The basketball game will feature appearances by current and former NFL Stars, NBA Stars, other world renowned athletes, and music industry icons. Then event will take place at the Sports Center in downtown Las Vegas, NV on Friday, May 25, 2012. Doors open at 6:00PM, tip-off is at 7:00PM.
