Saturday, September 7th!
Event Director, Chef Noah Sheetz and fellow members of the Hudson Valley Chefs Consortium return to create a five-course gourmet meal using only locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy a unique Farm Fresh Dinner experience while dining in the shadow of the beautiful ruins of Bannerman’s Castle. Five noted Hudson Valley chefs work with Chef Sheetz to bring diners one of the most unique culinary experiences the Hudson Valley has to offer.

Everyone is familiar with the dark tale of Dr. Seward, his fiancée, Lucy, and their mysterious neighbor, Count Dracula, but here the events take on intensified effect through the heightened action and simplified staging of this fast-moving new version.

Bannerman Island is located in the Hudson River, between Beacon and Cold Spring – just South of Newburgh and directly across from Cornwall on Hudson, NY.
The Bannerman’s Island tour boat, the Estuary Steward brings visitors to the Island from Newburgh’s waterfront and the Beacon Institute Dock at the Beacon Waterfront (directly across from the Beacon Railroad station) Reservations and tickets can be purchased through the Bannerman Castle website www.Bannermancastle.org. Reservations can also be made by phone by calling 845-203-1316. Proceeds from all of our events benefit the on-going restoration work on Bannerman’s Island – one of the most unique performance and dining venues in the Hudson Valley!
Visitors to the Island will also enjoy the islands Summer Gardens at their peak and tour Bannerman Castle Trust’s new Visitor Center and Museum – open now in the original Bannerman Family residence!

The Bannerman Castle Trust, Inc., in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, provides public tours of Bannerman’s Island from May – October. There is a Metro North Train Package for the 1 day getaways!
Tours consist of guided walks on the island’s beautiful trails – with access either by passenger tour boat or as part of a guided kayak excursion. Tours depart from Newburgh’s waterfront and from Beacon (by tour boat or kayak), Cold Spring (kayak) and from Cornwall-on-Hudson (kayak). Reservations are required for all tours. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested – there is a 72-step climb from the dock with rest stops along the way. ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASES ARE REQUIRED!
