With the amazing success of the recent film The Secret as well as numerous books and seminars, it’s the world and is winning new fans every day. As with any popular movement, there’s nothing like hearing the stories from someone who has been right there on the front line and my guest today Marcia Martinis one of those people who has been right there on the front line of the personal development movement. In the early 70s, Marcia worked closely with the legendary motivational speaker Werner Erhard, and together they created what was called the training seminars, and over the years millions of people participated in those seminars. As Marcia helped spread the word about the est seminars, she had the opportunity to work closely with inspiring figures including the Dalai Lama and architect and visionary Buckminster Fuller. Also in the 1970s, Marcia began working with a guy by the name of Jack Canfield who went on to write a huge bestseller by the title Chicken Soup for the Soul and dozens of bestselling Chicken Soup sequels followed. In 2004, she helped Jack Canfield establish an organization called the Transformational Leadership Council whose members include many of the people featured in The Secret including relationship expert John Gray, Rev. Michael Beckwith, and many other inspiring speakers and authors. Marcia has also kept busy over the years, leading her own seminars, workshops and corporate coaching programs for executives and employees of companies like Loews Hotels, Capital One, and Warner Brothers. Marcia is also a producer on on-air contributor to Positive Living TV a show originating from Canada and soon to be seen internationally. Marcia has personally trained and coached over 150,000 people worldwide to be more effective in their lives and communication.
