Harmonic Energetic Balancing Program
And with something we use as a stand-alone, without any counseling, is the Harmonic Energetic Balancing Program, which shapes the energy field per one’s own affirmative statements and declarations in language one wants to shape oneself with. It’s like being an artist with words and thoughts, mixed with frequency, shaping a hologram we call you. Prioritizing Problems, Hacking Away at Headaches: Yes, It’s he People who Need to Manage the Global Situation – Who Else?!
You probably think it’s preposterous, unlikely or impossible, that we The People, Manage the global issues of our time. Well, it should also be pretty obvious that there’s no one else to do it. The elected officials have their vested interests and relationships to protect–they can’t do it, and captains of industry are doing what they can to protect the vested interests of their shareholders.
It is then left to us. There are mechanisms all over through which to do this, but first, I think we have to prioritize our problems and then hack away at our headaches.
In this brief blog, I will address only a small handful of very pressing issues from my point of view. In prior blogs, I’ve written out an entire laundry list (dirty laundry list at that….) of “To Do’s” for our government and industry to take heed of and accord with, so that Democracy can thrive and so can the economy, not for a few, but for all those interested. Go back in our collection of Newsletters if you’d like for that 20+ point list for a more comprehensive view of “To Do’s” where vested interests are only in the well-being of the collective, of the Commons.
But here now, the issue around TPP, Trans-Pacific Partnership and its being Fast-Tracked, as the most central, time-sensitive, politico-legal issue we have facing us globally today. It cannot be over-emphasized how serious a threat this single “treaty” is to democracy and to our Department of Justice, already fraught with its own vested interests. In short, the DOJ would be rendered into a limp rag without jurisdiction if its decisions were in conflict with those of corporate advisers selected by the corporate interests which manage and operate the business of the TPP, essentially a hybrid of the WTO, World Trade Organization. As they say, TPP is like Nafta on steroids.
Most people don’t know that when the politicians finished their rhetoric of “Nafta means jobs”, when the rubber hit the road, Nafta meant jobs elsewhere, but not here. Estimates are that Nafta was the cause of a loss of about 1 million U.S. jobs. And major immigration to the U.S. from Mexico because their economy was so hard-hit by Nafta. So who benefited from this great, world-saving, highly-lauded and “much-needed” trade agreement? You got it. The same old suspects.
And now comes the TPP with the same empty promises that politicians think their constituents believe their rhetoric about–can you not hear how thin the pleas of “this means jobs” is? Can you not hear that it is nothing but a ruse? In short friends, our laws and Constitution, would be subordinated to a global, in effect, tribunal. You don’t believe me? No problem! Listen to my interview with one of the main researchers and journalists on the subject, Mitch Jones, of Food & Water Watch: http://abetterworld.tv/trans-pacific-partnership-the-end-of-democracy, also see http://www.citizen.org/trade and add to that: http://www.thrivemovement.com/trans-pacific-partnership-trade-liberation-or-global-domination.blog, which comes from Foster Gamble, director of the film Thrive.
You will ‘get’ the seriousness of this. In short, if we as a people do not stop this in its fast track (a totally undemocratic process in itself–take the time to learn what it is), many of the conversations about upgrading laws, food and water, health regulations, environmental protections, anything that we as thoughtful, cultural creatives, progressives, will be virtually moot. Kaput und fertig. Because we didn’t exercise our role as citizen-legislators. It’s that serious my friends.
And if you believe the rhetoric you hear from the White House or any other government body or think tank, thing again! Things are difficult enough without that agreement; and made near impossible with it. Please take note and make contacting your Congresspeople and Senator and President a daily practice like brushing your teeth until this gets dismantled and dismissed, vetoed.
Next in the short-list: we’re nowhere without oxygen. Unless we grow fins or something, we’ll be needing it. So where does it come from you may ask. Good question! A lot of It (some 30%) comes from the Amazon Rainforest. And of the Rain forest, primarily from the most bio-diverse part of that forest, which is in Ecuador, overseen by the Achuar Indians who have asked for our help in protecting it from major oil interests who seem a bit unable or unwilling to find other locations to drill. They are around, and are also very profitable, but they are unreasonably focused on this area, and we want them to focus on that area. Without stopping this insanity, we will have a planet with considerably less oxygen, which means considerably less mammalian life and lower-level immune systems.
Do you see the inter-connectedness of all things? It’s staring us in the face. Go to: http://www.pachamama.org/ and see how you can participate. A few friends and I are attending the It’s Up to Us Symposium, a free, half-day workshop in Manhattan, on this subject, on 1-12-14, to which I invited you all in last week’s Newsletter.
The third ‘fast-track’ priority (the only reason fast-track should exist–to accelerate US!), is a call for us all to Think & Reflect. To really look around outside ourselves and see what’s going on–that our beautiful world is going to hell in a handbasket, and it’s up to us to do something about it. The issues are many, too many really. But we have to face them one by one, in a sober, clear-headed and yes, somewhat light-hearted way, otherwise we’ll faint dead away. And we deserve to have fun while tackling the horrendous, don’t you think? I do! And along with this 3rd priority, I include the importance of action. I call this whole process “Sacred Stewardship” and my book I’m finishing is all on it. Let’s practice it now–loving our planet, our lives and each other, can yield some very positive results.
New Version of Play When Yellow Were the Stars on Earth Playing in NYC – Go See it!
When my friend and colleague, David Katzmire, who has been on A Better World Radio & TV numerous times, told me about this theater piece that his friend Franco Moschetti directed, I did go to West 42nd St. in a small theater to see it. And I’m glad I did. Painful as it was, it was a very interesting, personal portrayal of a slice of life during Nazi Germany, of personal relationships, including one with an SS officer.
Very skillfully written, directed and acted, I felt that this piece should have a much larger audience. The director, Franco Moschetti, appeared as a guest on A Better World Radio when we were on Progressive Radio Network, and in short, A Better World wanted to support this powerful theatrical experience.
Franco called me recently to tell me that he has revised the piece, improved it (is it possible?) and it will be opening January 10 at the Cabrini Repertory Theatre, 701 FT Washington Avenue in Washington Heights, a mere 25-minute luxury ride from downtown Manhattan on the A Train. Listen to a little Duke Ellington on your ear buds and you’ll be there in no time.(http://yellowstars.org/yellow-stars-performing-january-2014-when-yellow-were-the-stars-on-earth/), opening January 10 and running for 3 weeks, but it’ll likely get more crowded as the weeks go on.
We saw it last night. No words. So powerful and hits you where you live and breathe. You’ll remember how God-awful the Holocaust was and the beauty, even there, between humans looking out for one another, their lives at risk. Oh yes, do go see this play, and help to support off-off-off Broadway theater. It’s a hop, skip and a jump from Manhattan on the A train–very simple and quick. And Washington Heights is a welcomed, relaxing change from Manhattan. Even if it were in NJ, I’d suggest you go to see it.
Iran: Nuclear Energy for War or Peace? A Renewable Suggestion
posted in the Huffington Post – The Beginning Below
(http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mitchell-j-rabin/iran-nuclear-energy-for-w_b_4546813.html) Please go & comment, debate!
One of the many serious issues the planet faces is whether or not Iran’s nuclear program is to develop weapons or to be able to turn on a switch for light, which is quite a profound difference. The hope of course is that Iran’s interest is in the latter as claimed and that they are using this method of generating power instead of others.
But if they are truly interested in developing energy sources for electrification, introducing renewable resources into this context such as wind power, solar, geo-thermal and mini hydro-power, and others would be an excellent way to insure that the Iranian people get the power they need while allowing the government to ease out of the costly and explosively dangerous continuation of their nuclear energy program.
The political issue would be laid to rest and interestingly, Iran would become positioned well to become a leader in green energy generation even as they would continue to market their oil.
Discussion of this sort, if it were to occur on the larger diplomatic level between nations, would be able to put to rest the question marks and suspicion that has been surrounding this subject for years. In fact, it would be a very interesting offer for the allied nations to offer Iran a no-interest loan to build out such renewable facilities sufficient to convert from the use of nuclear energy to the renewables.
It might even become a template for any nation currently using nuclear energy to be granted a no-interest World Bank loan to conduct a similar conversion and, over time, reduce to extinguish the use of nuclear energy altogether….(go to http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mitchell-j-rabin/iran-nuclear-energy-for-w_b_4546813.html for the rest….)
Please show me if you feel I’m wrong or inconsistent in my thinking. Your Comments?
Drop Out of Being Part of the Problem & Become Part of the Eco-Solution
A Better World has made available a Hand-Held, Portable Water Filter which you can take wherever you go. It’s the size of a plastic, toxic bottled water bottle, but it’s made of high-grade poly-propylene (does not leech), BPA-free of course, or stainless steel.
You’ll be drinking filtered water every time for a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of bottled water, which also bottles up the environment, endangering fish, dolphins and toxifying land-fills. Become part of the solution through A Better World. Just click on the bottle here or on our website, www.abetterworld.tv.
You’ll be helping your health, our environment, A Better World and your pocketbook all at the same time.
