The economy is causing many Americans to cancel their regular vacations this summer, but Joe Bruno wants to remind people that they can still have plenty of fun in their own backyards. As the top bartender in the country, Joe has come up with some special stay-cation creations that can make people feel like theyre getting five-star service without leaving home. And since the interview is just before Independence Day, the superstar mixologist will also have some patriot-themed creations to make any Independence Day Celebration special. Part of Joes timely message will include how to tell if someone has had too much to drink, and what you should do to keep you friends safe.
Bruno is nationally recognized for his mixology expertise and is responsible for training more than 3,000 bartenders a year as the Executive Director of the American Bartending School. The founder of Bar-Pro Consulting Inc., he is recognized as one of the top experts in the restaurant industry, and has been featured on numerous national media outlets, such as CNN, CBS and the New York Times.
Beverage and Drink Recipes

Non-Alcoholic Frozen Mudslides
1 part Divines A La Mode Mix
1 part Divines Chocolate Mix
1/2 part Daily’s Bar Syrup
Pour into blender and blend with ice.
Strawberry Daiquiris
By the pitcher
In a blender, combine:
4 cups of ice
16 fl. Oz. of Strawberry Daiquiri/Margarita mix
4 oz. of white rum or tequila
Blend. Garnish with a fresh strawberry
Makes 4 8 oz. drinks
By the drink
In a blender, combine:
1 cup of ice
4 fl. Oz. of Strawberry Daiquiri margarita
` fl. Oz. white rum or tequila.
Blend, Garnish with a fresh strawberry.
Makes 1 8 oz. drink.
Strawberry Daiquiri Gaudy Garnishes
Melt sugar in a pan
When caramelized, drizzle red food coloring over
Drizzle sugar on a piece of parchment to form spun sugar
Place on edge of glass
By the Drink
Dip strawberry on angle into melted white chocolate
Let harden
Dip on opposite angle into dark chocolate and crushed coconut
Let harden and skewer
Dip rim of glass in tequila then crushed coconut
Place chocolate strawberry skewer in glass
Rasberry Margaritas
1 cup crushed ice (use only cup for non-frozen Margarita)
Combine and blend until smooth
(For non-frozen margarita, combine all ingredients and shake well in a shaker)
Garnish with fresh raspberries
1 oz white tequila
4 oz Raspberry Daiquiri/Margarita Mix
oz Triple Sec
Raspberry Margarita Gaudy Garnishes
Take a lime cookie and brush raspberry jam on tip
Dip tip in salt
Make a vertical slit in the cookie and place on edge of glass (or just serve on the side)
COSMOJITO
In a shaker, combine:
1 oz. Mojito Mix
1 oz. Cosmopolitan Mix
1 oz. Rum
Shake vigorously
Strain into martini glass
Garnish with lime twist
Cosmojito Gaudy Garnishes
Alternately spear rum and lime jelly beans on a 10 skewer
Top with a lime
Rest across top of glass
