Mohan’s Custom Tailors will gift graduates of the HOPE Program , a non-profit based in Brooklyn that assists New Yorkers with various employment barriers re-enter the workforce, with custom tailored suits and shirts for interview success on Wednesday, January 25 2012 (10:00am) at Mohan’s Custom Tailors, 60 East 42nd Street #1432 New York, NY 10165.
Mohan’s Custom Tailors (www.mohantailors.com) will kick-off a formal donation program with Brooklyn based the HOPE Program (www.thehopeprogram.org), an organization that empowers New Yorkers living in poverty to achieve economic self sufficiency through employment. These individuals have various employment barriers such as 5th grade reading levels, histories of addiction, little of no work experience, lack of self-esteem, etc. Mohan’s will donate custom clothing (interview suits and shirts, valued at over $1,000 a piece) plus many hours of his staffs tailoring time to graduates who successfully complete their job training program and are ready to begin their interview process. For most of these men, it will be the first suit that they own, and will provide them with a fundamental need to land a job. The first set of graduates for 2012, a group of 15 men, will be coming to Mohan’s Custom Tailors on January 25th to select their suits and have a custom fitting. By donating these suits, Mohan feels he is giving others the opportunity to live the American dream and succeed, as he did.
