Moksha Yoga announced its third annual Grow Your Yoga campaign at the beginning of the month. It’s a 30-day off-the-mat yoga challenge focusing on the seven pillars of Moksha including health, peace, accessibility and support for others – even Edward Norton is on board!
The goal of the challenge is to raise awareness for yoga as a whole, inspire people to live healthy lives and raise funds for Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust (MWCT) – an organization backed by actor and activist Edward Norton that works to protect the legendary ecosystems and astounding biodiversity of East Africa.
Unfamiliar with Moksha? It’s the newest form of hot yoga dedicated to helping students find a calm mind, fit body and inspired life while remaining conscious about the world around them. Unlike other hot yoga, varied class structures are offered and accessible to all.
BONUS: Moksha Yoga’s last challenge raised more than $100,000 in 30 days for Little Kids Rock resulting in music education programming for more than 6,000 children.
No other form of yoga views community enrichment as a core part of its practice. This is definitely a great story that should be shared.
