Summer 2012 was a banner season for the MPCCF! From our season kick-off party at Solé East in May, through our popular FamilyFest summer programming series, to the Montauk Ocean Swim Challenge, and our sold-out “Diamond in the Rough” Gala at the Playhouse in August – the community came out in force to support the Foundation, and had a lot of fun in the process. Our local kids even got in on the fundraising action over the summer – with a Car Wash and Lemonade Stand!
Our recent Chinese Auction at Montauk’s Fall Festival weekend was also super successful, with crowds packing the tent on the Green to take a chance at winning one of the many wonderful donated prizes.
Now that the temperatures have cooled and the crowds around town have diminished, we’d like to take a moment to extend our special thanks to you, and everyone involved – from the wonderful support of our many sponsors and donors, to the tireless efforts of our volunteers and everyone behind the scenes – we couldn’t have done it without you!
We hope that you enjoy the quieter months in Montauk and that you’ll join us at our Veteran’s Day Flag Ceremony on Monday, November 12th and that you’ll take a chance to win big with our December 50/50 Raffle. (Please see below for details.).
If you haven’t already, please take a moment to visit our website, www.montaukplayhouse.org and make sure to “Like” the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation page on Facebook – for all the latest information on events and happenings.
We are excited to look towards the future and the realized dream of a completed Playhouse. Throughout the off-season, we’ll be hosting special cultivation dinners and planning our 2013 events. With our efforts focused on raising the funds to begin construction of the Aquatic Center and community spaces in 2014, your continued support and involvement is essential. We welcome your participation and we hope you’ll join us in reaching our goal!

PENNIES FROM HEAVEN |
Thank you to the St. Therese Kindergarten Religious Ed. class, who recently created “Pennies from Heaven for the Playhouse” – their own fundraising project for the MPCCF!
Look for their collection jars at the Playhouse and at various locations around town. Way to go kids! |
CULTIVATION DINNERS / HOW YOU CAN HELP |
Our Cultivation Dinners have been hugely successful in helping us spread the word about and building support for the Montauk Playhouse project. Help is needed in so many different ways to help us meet our mission – through outright donations and long-term pledges, volunteering your time with events, or even connecting the Foundation to those that can help fund the project. Every little bit of help moves us closer to meeting our goal. Won’t you join us at a dinner and learn how you can help?
Call us at (631) 668-1124, email at admin@montaukplayhouse.org or visit Lisa DeVeglio at Willow in downtown Montauk to discuss your interest. |
NAMING OPPORTUNITIES |
The proposed groundbreaking for the new Aquatic Center and community spaces is slated for 2014, with plans to be operational by 2016. Our total fundraising goal for the project is $5 million and we must meet 100% of this goal to begin construction. Exclusive naming opportunities for select portions of the project are just one of the many ways to donate and leave a lasting legacy. Please call the MPCCF at (631) 66-1124 to discuss all donation opportunities. View additional details here: Naming Opportunities |
