06/19/2022-Sun.-7:29pm: I called the Mamaroneck Police Station at 5:38pm (to contact Harbor Police Boat) who in turn contacted Mamaroneck Village Police Department. Officer Brian is whose voice you hear. It took a few minutes, a bit, for him to show up.
I saw and took action and made the call. The older couple in the car next to me told the officer that they had THOUGHT of calling (When?… after somebody might have gotten hurt?).
I give a lot of credit to that young boy in the kayak. In my opinion, he did an AMAZING job in what appeared to be an emergency situation. I sensed they were struggling and getting tired. The wind was making things quite challenging for them. Blessings to that young boy!! 🙌
