The brilliance of Mulan is not only told in the story of how she saved her father and country but also through the themes of Peace, Harmony, Love and Joy to the World. This is shown through her filial piety (Chinese: 孝xian) , as it is called in Confucian philosophy and through the brave, courageous, and bold Red Drum which shakes the Sky, Earth, Water, Fire and even the universe to bridge ancient and modern times, and between East and West, forming a family. Dame Zhen Joy Lin is the representation of the modern Mulan, of which is a symbol of peace, love and joy. This correlates with the United Nations International Day of Peace.
