National Women’s Divison of Albert Einstein College of Medicine Hosts 21st Annual Family Day Wild Wild West Carnival

Christie Brinkley was the celebrity honorary Chairwoman at the 21st Annual Family Day Wild Wild West Carnival, presented by Marquis Jet, and the National Womens Division of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The beautiful Christie Brinkley was the consummate professional,generous with her time and approachable, as honorary Chairwoman ofthis event.
This not-to-be-missed event had 1,300 guests RSVP for this great event and for a great cause. It was held on Sunday, August 8, 2010, at the Ross School (Lower School campus), at 739 Butter Lane, Bridgehampton, New York, from 10:00am to 2:00pm for all the festivities you could lasso up. Other celebrities and guests included Edie Falco, Tommy and Thalia Mottola, Kelly Bensimon, Daryl Roth, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Jason and Haley Binn, among others.
There was more than enough fun to go around for the whole family. Guests could jump in a burlap sack and hop your way through potato sack races, spin till youre dizzy in the hula-hoop contest, or beat the summer heat with the water balloon toss. The afternoon continued with many other activities including pony rides, giant slides, inflatable rides, tug-of-war, face painters, mining for gems, paddle boats, arts & crafts, cool Nascar track, performances by The Z Brothers, a silent auction and much more.
The Marquis Jets sponsored tent included spin-art t-shirts, jewelry making, air hockey, arcade hoops, skee ball, the Newport golf simulator powered by Full Swing Golf for those golf lovers out there and special giveaways from Marquis Jet. And let’s not forget all the delicious food, desserts. candy, drinks and goodie bags. Other corporate sponsors included Northville, Sensible Portions, Earth’s Best Organic, Citibabes, Ciao Bella Gelato, Cozy’s Cuts for Kids, Dasha Wellness, Flywheel, Super Soccer Stars, Ultimate Gaga, Wat-aah, Vitamin Water, Yogi Beans, Zico, The Z Bros., and Hamptons Magazine.
All of this fun not only made for an exciting day with the family, supporters and friends, but also enhanced the lives of many others with the generous contributions. All proceeds from ticket sales, raffles and the silent auction benefitted the National Womens Divisions extraordinary new initiative to support research in Womens Health and Cancers including breast, ovarian, cervical and uterine cancers conducted by leading scientist at the Albert Einstein Cancer Center.
Founded in 1955, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is one of the worlds premiere centers for medical research and education. Its a place where miracles happenmiracles like the development of Taxol, one of the most important anti-cancer drugs of the last decade and the identification of the key missing protein in the brains of Alzheimers patients, a major breakthrough in Alzheimers disease research.
