Celebrate 20 Years of the Obie Award-Winning Ice Factory Festival with Artistic Director Robert Lyons and Ice Factory Alumni at Sunset Benefit Cocktail Party on Thursday, June 20 from 7pm – 10pm
New Ohio Theatre and Artistic Director Robert Lyons will host a Sunset Benefit Cocktail Party, celebrating 20 years of presenting some of the most innovative and cutting-edge downtown theatre in their Obie Award-winning Ice Factory summer festival. The event takes place on Thursday, June 20 from 7pm – 10pm on the rooftop of the historic Archive Building at 666 Greenwich Street in the West Village.
With drinks in hand, watch the sun set over the Statue of Liberty and the moon rise over the Empire State Building as it lights up in New Ohio’s oxblood red (it could happen!). Snack on neighborhood treats, win Yankee tickets (and more), hear pop-up performances from artists over the past two decades, share stories and groove to the ambient smooth-osity of DJ Silky as the sparkling cityscape comes to life from dusk to dark.
Special guests include Ice Factory alumni Jess Barbagallo (Good Year for Hunters, IF ’12), Rebecca Hart (Struck, IF ’11), Tina Satter (Half Straddle, IF ’10), Susan Bernfield (New Georges, IF ’07), Rachel Chavkin (the TEAM, IF ’06), Alex Timbers (Les Freres Corbusier, IF ’04), Lenora Champagne (Mother’s Little Helper, IF ’03), John Collins (Elevator Repair Service, IF ’01), Dan Rothenberg (Pig Iron Theatre, IF ’01), Matthew Maher (Gravity, IF ’98), David Cote (Rich White Farmers, IF ’95), and more.
Tickets are $100 (includes 2 tickets to any show in Ice Factory 2013) or $250 (includes 2 tickets to every show in Ice Factory 2013). To purchase tickets or for more information visit http://www.NewOhioTheatre.org.
All ticket proceeds give New Ohio Theatre a running start as they launch into their third decade of discovering and presenting New York’s most innovative, challenging, entertaining, perception-altering theatre artists (who also know how to party). Help keep New York’s downtown theatre scene at the forefront of contemporary American theatre.
Over the years Ice Factory’s been called:
“The summer festival with the hippest downtown cred.” – TimeOut NY
“Superbly programmed…Indispensable!” – The New York Times
“Intellectually challenging and artistically daring.” – The New Yorker
“New York’s #1 summer theatre festival.” – New York Magazine

Shows and artists from Ice Factory have gone on to garner TONY Awards, Drama Desk Awards, Obie Awards, Edinburgh Audience First Awards, Off-Broadway productions, commercial runs, and national and international tours.
