The New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) held its 2008 Muse Awards at a luncheon on December 9, 2008, in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria Hoste in New York City. This annual Awards Galawas hosted by Nancy Giles.
NYWIFThas supported the advancement of women in the entertainment industry for 30 years.
The 2008 NYWIFT Muse honorees included:
Laura Linney, a three-time Academy Award-nominee, a three-time Golden Globe nominee and a three-time Emmy Award-winning actress active in movies, television and theater.
Cynthia Nixon, Emmy and Tony Award-winner and “Sex and the City” star.
Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group.
Linda Kaplan Thaler, pioneering advertising executive and founder of the industry-leading agency, The Kaplan Thaler Group.
The luncheon was hosted by Nancy Giles actress and contributor to the award-winning “CBS Sunday Morning.”
The NYWIFT Muse Awards luncheon is a sought-after ticket during the holiday season and attended by leading executives from major studio, broadcast and cable networks and film production facilities.
