Crystal Light and The Nature Conservancy Collaborate to Raise Awareness of U.S. Freshwater Conservation
Crystal Light powdered beverages help women enjoy drinking water every day, which is why they are collaborating with The Nature Conservancy to protect Americas rivers and lakes, our sources of clean, fresh drinking water.
Crystal Light will start by making a splash on World Water Day, Monday, March 22, when it will give to The Nature Conservancy 100 percent of net profits from Crystal Light powdered drink mix products sold that day no less than $350,000 and up to $750,000. The funds will help support five priority river and lake projects across the U.S. to help protect our sources of clean, fresh drinking water including the Colorado River, Great Lakes Basin, Meramec River (part of the Mississippi River), Potomac River and Southern Rivers.
And to celebrate World Water Day, Crystal Light is offering fans an unforgettable experience a one-night-only, World Water Day Celebration Concert with internationally acclaimed recording artist and nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow. One hundred percent of the ticket price will go to The Nature Conservancy to support the river and lake projects.
But the commitment does not end there. In fact, during its year-long collaboration, Crystal Light will share updates on the five river and lake projects through www.Facebook.com/CrystalLight.
Nicole Silk, Managing Director, Global Freshwater Team, The Nature Conservancy and Steve Yucknut, Vice President of Sustainability at Kraft Foods, are available to discuss this collaboration and the importance of maintaining fresh water projects throughout the U.S. Additionally, Silk can discuss simple steps consumers can take to conserve water.
