NYC Olive Oil COOP Presents an Olive Oil Tasting at ARA

Monday, September 29, SuperNodes, the host of “Fine W(h)ine Summer Mondays” and the New York City Olive Oil Coop present an Autumn Olive Oil Tasting with Micheal Castaldo at Ara Wine Bar. The doors open at 6:30pm. There is no cover charge to attend, and there will be drink specials for the first hour and raffle tickets for sale. Olive oil tasting begins promptly at 8pm. Micheal Castaldo, New York’s Italian Cultural Entrepreneur, imports the Extra Virgin Estate Quality Organic Olive Oil (Grown, Milled and Packed) from the family estate in Calabria, Italy. The Nibble food magazine stated that the olive oil is “a delicious, everyday fine oil with good fruit flavor, wonderful, buttery unctuousness and just the right amount of pepper finish.” As part of the evening’s events, Castaldo will perform a few selections from his new CD, “La Dolce Vita ‘NAmerica,” which Celebrity Cafe.com calls plush world of ballads and utter sweetness. The winner of the raffle receives a weekend at the Castaldo family vacation villa, Villetta Mimma Vittoria, which includes a tour of the olive orchards and mill.
