(Manhattan) With a fresh sense of their own ability to change the world in the wake of the Obama victory, young New Yorkers are now tackling the issue of terrorism and Islamic extremism in an innovative way. A group of over 600 young urban hipsters will be packed next Wednesday night (November 12th) into one of New York City’s hottest nightclubs, Mansion, to go clubbing for a cause: solidarity against terrorism and Islamic extremism. The event, Arm Yourself: Learn the Truth, Fight for Truth, Fuel For Truth will be hosted by edgy New York non-profit Fuel For Truth, an organization congressionally honored for getting out real, uncontested facts about Israel and the Mid-East Conflict to young Americans. Arm Yourself serves up the key facts every American needs to know to intellectually arm themselves about the threat of terrorism to an already fragile U.S. economy and how extremist groups are using oil money to foster Islamic radicalism on American campuses. Three speakers, including a U.S. Army officer who lived in the Middle East and served in Iraq, will each give a brief speech accompanied by multi-media presentations all in Fuel For Truth’s signature style of hip activism. The evening is an appeal to young people to continue shaping history and become more involved in the fight of democracy against extremism. Arm Yourself is also going to be the hottest party in town. The professional club promoters-turned-activists who founded Fuel For Truth days after 9/11, are committed to using the power of pop culture to reach the hearts and minds of young people. Attendees will be treated to music by well-known NYC and LA DJs, a celebrity appearance from soap-star Teri Colombino of “As The World Turns,” a chance to challenge boxing champ Yuri Foreman to a few rounds Wii boxing, a special voice over message from actor Liev Schreiber, an hour long open bar, and an immersive multi-media experience designed to inform and dazzle. The doors open at 7pm, the speeches take place at 8pm, and the event will officially finish at 10pm. But all are welcome to continue partying at Mansion until their closing. Tickets cost $45 and can be purchased at the door or in advance via the website FuelForTruth.org. Fuel For Truth is a 501 c3 not for profit organization. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible to the extent of the law. All proceeds will go to fund Fuel For Truth in their efforts to provide young Americans in metro areas and on college campuses with accurate information about Israel, the Middle East, and the struggle of democracy against radicalism. http://www.FuelForTruth.org
