NEW YORK TEACHER SURPRISED WITH $2,000 AWARD FROM NATIONAL IT SOLUTIONS COMPANY, PCM-G
P.S. 123Q teacher selected as part of the PCM-G Star Teacher Award program
in partnership with national nonprofit AdoptAClassroom.org
PCM-G sales vice president, Dave Wiltz, awarded STEM teacher Michelle Kahan from P.S. 123Q in South Ozone Park, New York with a $2,000 award through PCM-G’s partnership with Adoptaclassroom.org. Wiltz surprised Kahan with the award on Wednesday in her classroom, surrounded by her students.
PCM-G conducts the Star Teacher Award contest, for STEM teachers, in a partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org. Each quarter, the contest showcases three national teachers in science, technology, engineering and math.
Teachers submit a video that emphasizes their classroom needs, and encourage people to visit PCM-G’s Star Teacher Award page and vote. On average, teachers every year spend $740 of their own money on classroom materials.
Kahan was selected as a part of PCM-G’s Star Teacher Award contest and will use the funds to purchase needed classroom supplies and modern technology to support her individualized learning program.
As a part of PCM-G’s commitment to education, the Star Teacher Award is a quarterly program showcasing three exemplary teachers across the country. PCM-G customers vote each quarter for the teacher they believe is the most deserving. The other finalists will also receive a $600 award from PCM-G.
PCM-G provides public sector customers with IT solutions, including Cybersecurity, Secure Mobile Computing, and the Digital Classroom. Adoptaclassroom.org advances equity in education by supporting schools and teachers in equipping their classrooms with supplies each year.
