What: A food drive to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy via the Food Bank of NY.
Please share this invitation with your friends and ask them to share with their friends. The more the merrier! We have room for a crowd!!
In addition to the 1.5 million New Yorkers who regularly rely on Food Bank’s programs and services, thousands more people have now been thrust into a highly vulnerable position for the first time due to Hurricane Sandy. Hunger has become an even greater problem citywide, and Food Bank remains committed to helping those in need. Please help us help the Food Bank.
Please bring items (if you have extra bags/boxes, please bring those, too) from this list:
- Water
- Peanut butter
- Shelf-stable milk
- Proteins (tuna, chicken, salmon, sardines, ham, Vienna sausages—preferably in pop-top cans or packets)
- Cereal
- Granola/breakfast bars
- Juice boxes
- Dried fruit
- Crackers
- Personal hygiene products
- Diapers
- Baby wipes
- Baby food
If you are unable to bring food stuffs, cash or checks payable to Food Bank of New York will also be gratefully accepted. Because Food Bank can buy in bulk, an amount as small as $1 will feed five people.
Hope to see you!
