Martin Amado has more than sixteen years of experience in the entertainment industry working as a broadcaster, actor and host, he launched his own home-styling business that specializes in one-day makeovers called The WOWFactor!, Inc. He is the host and designer of a successful Miami home makeover segment in titled Room for Improvement, which airs biweekly on WSVN, a FOX affiliate station in Miami, FL, during their prime-time newscast. He has become known as the “Makeover Maestro” doing everything from interior to exterior transformations, and everything in-between.
Martin has also worked as a guest designer on Decorating Cents for HGTV. Currently, he can also be seen nationally in the Hispanic market as the featured designer on Decorando Contigo (Decorating with You) on Galavision — a Univision sister network on cable. He has also worked as host/designer on the TeleFutura Network — another Univision sister network — on the segment called Manos A La Obra.
He also contributes articles on the subject of home decor to Vista Magazine www.vistamagazine.com, the largest monthly magazine for U.S. Hispanics with a circulation of over a million inserted inside national newspapers in key Hispanic markets; and De Casa y Hogar Magazine, another national publication geared towards Hispanics, where he also has produces and hosts video clips online offering decorating tips on their website www.hogarlatino.com.
His past experience and accomplishments include being a host on Small Space, Big Style for HGTV; spokesperson on lifestyle and home matters for Sears; recurring guest speaker at home shows and events; and former on-air host for Home Shopping En Espaol, the first national television retail shopping network launched to reach the Hispanic audience as a joint partnership between HSN (Home Shopping Network) and Univision.
