St. Demetrios Jamaica Day School plays key role in nation’s largest-ever celebration of education reform
St. Demetrios Jamaica Day School will celebrate National School Choice Week 2013 on Friday, February 1, 2013 with a special event, school officials announced today in conjunction with National School Choice Week. The event, “St. Demetrios Jamaica Day School Open House Carnival,” will shine a spotlight on St. Demetrios Jamaica Day School’s successes and raise awareness of the need for greater educational options for families in New York and across the country.
The event at St. Demetrios Jamaica Day School is one of 3,500 independently-planned special events and activities during National School Choice Week 2013, which will be the nation’s largest-ever celebration of education reform. Participants at the St. Demetrios Jamaica Day School event will use National School Choice Week’s colorful yellow scarves and rally signs to demonstrate unity with millions of other school choice supporters nationwide.
The event is open to the media.
