Superheroes in the sky.
Heroes soaring super high.
Batman, Superman, they save us from schemes.
But they’re not heroes
Heroes work behind the scenes…
Hi, LOVE, HALLIE family:
This is our once a year request for a financial contribution to LOVE, HALLIE, and I hope you will consider it.
Hallie’s words at age 10 speak loudly to us now, in this uncertain time when we’re all wondering “what can I do to make a positive change? How can I be a hero?”
There are so many challenges and so many opportunities. How do we choose? And what can we do?
LOVE, HALLIE’s mission has always been about inspiring and providing practical tools for young people to find their path to creating change.
Working with an all volunteer team, LOVE, HALLIE continues to take this on in three ways:
ChangeSpace In partnership with Culture Lab LIC, we are creating a safe, physical space that we hope will be replicated around the world where people who want to be change agents can:
🌻Find inspiration
🦋Learn about causes
☀️Engage with others
😎Build their skills
🌟Amplify their stories
🪸Connect creativity to their changemaking
Carpe Diem We are using Hallie’s story, words, and art to inspire change agents through
- Books
- Video
- In-person Presentations & Performances
- Exhibits
Hallie’s Angels Our youth-led action groups choose the causes they want to address and decide how to address them to make a better world.
Your financial contribution will enable LOVE, HALLIE in 2025 to conduct ChangeSpace programs at Culture Lab, including the 2025 Better World Festival, to support the creation of additional Hallie’s Angels chapters (we’re excited about the one blossoming at P.S. 11 in Queens!), and to find publishing, distributing, broadcasting, creating, presenting partners to continue to share Hallie’s inspiring messages of love, empathy and action. On that last front, we are delighted that all 64 Queens Public Library branches will have Hallie’s book The Earth, illustrated by Casey Conselmo, on their shelves in 2025.
We make a lot happen with a little – every dollar you contribute by clicking https://lovehallie.networkforgood.com/projects/241513-lhf-2024-campaign or by mailing your contribution to LOVE, HALLIE, 41-15 46th Street, 6S, New York, NY, 11104 makes a profound difference!
Thanks to all of you who have volunteered. There are always many roles to be filled – let us know if you’d like to play!
Here’s the final line of Hallie’s Superheroes poem —
Heroes aren’t about Batman —
Who’s a hero? I am!
Stay hopeful, keep loving, and “do something special” every day!
Carpe diem and love,
Ted
