What: Join Ambassador Michael Oren, Birthright Israel Co-founder Michael Steinhardt, and other dignitaries at the Take Back Zionism Launch Party.
The organizer of the event Birthright Israeli Alumni Community, upwards of 500 young Jewish professionals, philanthropists, activists, New York politicians, and over 25 partner organizationswill participate atthe Take Back Zionism Launch Party.The theme of the night will be Zionism is Humanitarianism. General admission ticket includes an open bar all night.
As an example of how love for Israel inspires humanitarian action, each ticket includes the purchase of a blanket for The Warming Wall, a towering collection of blankets displayed at the event like a minature of The Western Wall in Jerusalem. The blankets will be distributed the next day to emergency homeless shelters, a transitional housing facility, and a shelter in the Bronx for those suffering from advanced AIDS.
Consulate General of Israel Ido Aharoni will reveal Israel’s 50 year long quest to funnel technologies and assistance to the developing world and share Israel’s vast humanitarian activities since 1958, including how Israel’s foreign development MASHAV, provides over 300 courses each year for representatives from nearly 140 developing countries, many which do not even officially recognize Israel.
