If You Tried: The Brat Pack, John Hughes, And Their Impact on a Generation,”
“You Couldn’t Ignore Me If You Tried: The Brat Pack, John Hughes, and Their Impact on a Generation” and I am proud to say it received really nice reviews and has sold well too (it was the number one book about film history on Amazon for much of this past spring). Through my interviews with key players from the era like Molly Ringwald, Matthew Broderick, Rob Lowe, John Cusack, Judd Nelson, Andrew McCarthy, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy and Cameron Crowe, the book tells the history behind the making of 1980s youth films like “The Breakfast Club,” “Pretty in Pink,” “St. Elmo’s Fire” and”Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” while exploring their pop cultural impact. If you’d ever like to interview me about my book, or my involvement with the Friars Club comedy film festival, I’d be honored.
