To Re-Introduce TechSoup
Techsoup is a nonprofit with a clear focus: to make it as easy as possible for other nonprofits and libraries to obtain and use the technologies they need to achieve their missions. As part of this goal, they provide access to over 400 technology products donated by more than 40 companies – including donor partners like Microsoft, Adobe, Cisco, Intuit, and Symantec. All donated and discounted products are available to qualifying organizations for a small administrative fee that partially subsidizes TechSoup.org operations. They also offer learning resources, including articles, blogs, and free webinars, and forums on nonprofit-specific topics led by expert hosts. Some of the countries they support include India, Sweden, Malaysia, and Japan.
Information and Resources
TechSoup is the place for all kinds of technology resources specific to nonprofits and libraries. You can find upcoming workshops and conferences on the events calendar, check for the latest nonprofit tech news and information in their blog, attend a free webinar, and participate in expert-led community discussions with nonprofit colleagues.
Nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations (like SeniorNet) with affiliated local branches may be allowed to register their central office and each of their subordinate offices, so that each branch has a separate TechSoup account. Each branch location will have to be registered with the same tax ID number owned by the parent organization and must qualify its account by submitting a copy of the parent’s 501(c)(3) determination letter. TechSoup is required to review all local branches or affiliates individually to determine each branch’s eligibility
The SeniorNet HQ Team sends regular updates to TechSoup making sure that they have updated center list and center leaders’ names.
We are very fortunate to have a lasting and fruitful relationship with this worldwide nonprofit.
