Black Card Circle (BCC) in partnership with China’s Executive Leadership Academy Pudong (CELAP) present an Executive Leadership Exchange (ELE), bridging the industries of the United States and China, with a specific focus on the entertainment and media industries.
With the emergence of China into the entertainment, media, and financial markets comes a vitalized interest from the Chinese government to work with Hollywood and other markets to expand and explore the huge opportunities which lay within its vast market. However, for these types of endeavors, support of the Chinese government and other Chinese companies is not only helpful, but a crucial requirement for American companies and individuals wishing to do business there. Business in the East is very different from that in the US, and virtually requires established relationships with the Chinese government and/or other influential companies to make things happen – a simple spreadsheet or business plan (even with great numbers) simply doesn’t cut it. To gain an entrée to that vast market requires solid, high level relationships.
The Chinese government is looking to expand its relationships in terms of:
1. Co-Productions and collaborations with western companies and productions
2. Produce and distribute Chinese based or Chinese-themed projects in the west
3. Invest in and fund US based projects that meet its criteria
4. Create its own Chinese content utilizing the Hollywood Gold Standard know-how
BCC is the first American company in history to partner with CELAP (Chinese government organization) to promote media relationships, and is offering a unique opportunity for US companies, producers, executives, and media professionals to tap into a Chinese central network, and the required knowledge and relationships to bring entertainment and media projects to fruition. Our goal is to bridge our two cultures in a respectable and amicable manner that facilitates the expansion of industry on both sides, providing new and unique opportunities.
For the first time ever, the Chinese government has partnered directly with a US company to develop a comprehensive program that not only facilitates for creation of vital relationships, but also provides understanding of the legal, political, and cultural differences as well as economic, market, and Chinese film industry protocols that can either progress or impede the production of film and other entertainment and media projects.
In other words – we not only provide access to vital relationships, but provide the knowledge on how to most effectively utilize those relationships so you know how to work within the system rather than against it, and possess the knowledge on what China’s requirements are in terms of projects and production partners.
