School is out, summer is upon us, and it feels like a time for celebration – a celebration of how far we’ve come and an opportunity for new beginnings.
Our friends in Israel are already jumping head first into summer— the Philharmonic is performing live again, reconnecting with audiences, and sharing the incredible power of music to make us feel truly alive. The IPO’s recent Concert in the Negev and International Viola Day have been especially meaningful, bringing joy and inspiration to young people in the Negev and virtually around the world.
Here in the United States, we have exciting plans in the works to relaunch live events (more on that soon!) and will continue offering a wide variety digital programming – so wherever you are in the world, the Israel Philharmonic will always be there for you.
Here’s to the vibrant summer to come–with more live music and a stronger connection to our community than ever.
P.S. I hope you’ll join me on the new social platform Clubhouse for “Hummus Thursdays,” a weekly discussion room where I talk Israel, the Middle East, and life at large with Israeli actress & producer Noa Tishby, media personality Shanni Suissa, and celebrity guests. Happening every Thursday at 12 pm PST / 3 pm EST. See you there!
