NEW YORK — U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Chief of Staff Juliet K. Choi and Judge Denny Chin will preside over a special citizenship ceremony at the Museum of Food and Drink on Friday, December 23rd at 10:30 a.m. Museum Executive Director Peter Kim will also make remarks.
The 20 new U.S. citizens range in age from 5 to 15, and derived citizenship from their parents. They originate from the following 14 countries: Albania, Algeria, China, Colombia, Greece, Haiti, Israel, Italy, Ivory Coast, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Thailand, and Ukraine. The Museum of Food and Drink’s current exhibition, Chow, celebrates the contributions of Chinese immigrants to American food culture, and features hundreds of artifacts, live wok cooking demonstrations, and a working fortune cookie machine.
