HIGH HOLY DAYS: We invite you to join us and listen to the sound of the SHOFAR on ROSH HASHANAH and YOM KIPPUR to begin the New Year with open hearts and joy. Rabbi Jill, Aron Bederson, and James Besser will conduct beautiful, spiritual services to usher in the New Year.
EREV ROSH HASHANAH: Sunday, September 9th, 7 PM;
ROSH HASHANAH MORNING: Monday September 10th, 10 AM;
FREE SERVICE FOR THE COMMUNITY: Monday, September 10th, 7:30 PM;
CREATIVE ROSH HASHANAH SERVICE: Tuesday, September 11th, 10 AM. Tashlich follows the Creative Service at about 2 PM. Anyone wishing to participate in the Creative Service, whose theme this year is Finding The Goodness, please contact Rabbi Jill. Tickets for all services can be purchased by mail, phone, or online on our website. NO ONE IS EVER TURNED AWAY.
SHABBAT SHUVAH, Friday, September 14th, 7 PM: Service and Oneg Shabbat, sponsored by friends of David Belsky. We commemorate the Yahrzeits of Goldie Cohen (28), Rabbi Joseph Gelberman (1 Tishrei), Nelson Kornstein (4), Ida W. Richard (5), ): Murray Reich (9), Doris Tuvim (10), Regina Nelson (11).

YOM KIPPUR: Please join us for a musical KOL NIDRE Service with Marina Kifferstein, violin, James Besser, Piano, Aron Bederson and Rabbi Jill, which begins on Tuesday, September 18th, 6:45 PM. YOM KIPPUR MORNING is on Wednesday, September 19th, 10 AM. YIZKOR begins after 1 PM. STUDY SESSION AT 3 PM. AFTERNOON & N’ILA Services at 5:30 PM. Break the Fast, included in ticket price, at 7:40 PM.
ROSH HASHANAH FOOD DELIVERY TO SENIORS with Dorot, Sunday, September 16th, 10AM. Please contact Barbara Bova to participate for two hours on a Sunday.
BROADWAY BLESSING: Monday, September 17th, 7 PM, at The Actors’ Chapel, 239 W. 49th St. Join us in blessing the new Broadway Season! Rabbi Jill will take part.
SHABBAT: Friday, September 21st, 7 PM: Speaker Harry Ellison gives a Kabbalistic Commentary on Haazinu, the Parashah of the week, to honor Rabbi Jill Hausman. Barbara Bova Sponsors the Oneg Shabbat.
EREV SUKKOT: Sunday, September 23, 7 PM. Holiday Service and Oneg in the Sukkah.
SUKKOT MORNING: Monday, September 24th, 10:30 AM: Hallel and Torah Service in the Sukkah and Oneg.
SHABBAT SUKKOT POTLUCK DINNER: Friday, September 28th, Dinner in the Sukkah at 6 PM, Service at 7 PM. Lily Galperin plays a piano program of Latin American Music during dinner. Please bring a dairy or veggie dish.
BROADWAY CARES FLEA MARKET: Date Changed: Sunday, September 30th, 10 AM-6 PM. Please volunteer in 2-Hour slots. To participate, email the office or Rabbi Jill.
SAVE THE DATE: Join us for ZERO HOUR, a Benefit for The Actors’ Temple, Monday, November 5th, 7:30 PM; written by and starring Jim Brochu, also featuring John Fischer at the piano, Produced by Carol Ostrow and Joan Finkelstein. A wonderful evening, not to be missed! More details soon.
