WHAT: Four-day World of Athens event highlighting the citys numerous attractions for U.S. tourists and featuring a large sphere as a dramatic backdrop that offers a sensory introduction to the beauty of Athens. Consumers are free to attend and experience Greek music, dancers and food/wine, and enter a contest to win a seven-day Athens trip for two. Videos, images and graphics of the citys art/culture, nightlife, beaches and more also will be shown inside the sphere and visible from the outside at night.

- The Sphere, an impressive dome displaying videos, images and graphics of Athens.
- Interview with George Tambakis, U.S. Director of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), on the significant advancements/attractions in Athens since it hosted the 2004 Olympics, and why Athens is becoming increasingly popular to U.S. tourists and businesses.
WHY: The event is hosted by the Greek National Tourism Organization and the Ministry of Tourism, as part of a five-city global tour to showcase Athens as a superb destination for U.S. tourists, offering both contemporary and historic options/sites for all tastes.
